  • CEO, HWH 1887

    Jordan serves as CEO of HWH 1887 and has held key roles covering all aspects of the construction and logistics business. Jordan received a BBS degree in Economics and Finance from Southern Methodist University, an MBA degree from Texas A&M University-Commerce, and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Owner/President Management (OPM) Program. He is also a LEED Accredited Professional.

  • CEO, Native American Development Corporation (Billings, MT)

    Mr. Smith is Chief Executive Officer and founder of the Native American Development Corporation (NADC), a federally certified Native CDFI headquartered in Billings, Montana. A regional hub for Native-owned businesses, NADC provides affordable and flexible financing, technical assistance, a marketing platform, and other services to existing and aspiring Native entrepreneurs as the centerpiece of its effort to foster Native communities’ ability to achieve economic and social stability.

    An Assiniboine & Sioux tribal member of the Fort Peck Tribes, Leonard also serves as the Director of the NADC-affiliated Billings Urban Indian Health & Wellness Center as well as a board member for the Montana Community Foundation. Among his many previous roles, he served as a Deputy District Director for Business Development with the U.S. Small Business Administration. Leonard is also a U.S. Army veteran.

  • Partner, Nelson Mullins (Orlando, FL)

    Mr. Petra is a Partner and the assistant team leader of the Affordable Housing & Tax Credit practice group at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP. He has worked in this practice area for over 17 years, and his group is one of the largest practice groups in the U.S. Roman primarily represents for-profit and not-for-profit developers/sponsors who work on transactions throughout the U.S., varying from large national developers to developers comprised of just a few employees. His work runs the gamut from acquisition to structuring financing with typically multiple layers of different sources.

    Nelson-Mullins clients primarily finance their projects with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), bond financing (tax-exempt and taxable) and other sources of U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), state, local and other gap financing including Affordable Housing Program (AHP), Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), and HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME). He is familiar with Tax Incremental Financing (TIC), New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC), historic tax credits (HTC), Qualified Opportunity Zones (QOZ) and USDA financing.

    Roman earned a CRE® designation, one of the highest recognitions in the real estate industry, and in 2013 received the national Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation from the CCIM Institute. He is a graduate of CCIM's 2014 Jay W. Levine Leadership Development Academy and holds a real estate license as a broker-associate and is a licensed real estate instructor who is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia, Florida, Illinois, and Missouri, as well as before the United States Tax Court. Roman has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® and achieved an AV Preeminent® Peer Review Rating with Martindale-Hubbell, which is the organization's highest mark for both competency and ethics. He is also listed among the "Florida Legal Elite" by Florida Trend magazine and listed in the Bond Buyer's Municipal Marketplace, a Red Book Directory.

    Roman is also an adjunct faculty member at the University of Central Florida's (UCF) College of Business Administration with the Dr. P. Phillips School of Real Estate and received his AMDP in Real Estate from Harvard University. Mr. Petra graduated from Georgetown University Law Center with an LL.M. in Taxation; University of Miami School of Law with an LL.M. in Real Property and Development; Valparaiso University School of Law with a Juris Doctor, cum laude and senior honors; and Illinois College with a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude.

  • National Policy Advisor, Community Health Centers (Washington, DC)

    Colleen Meiman is the National Policy Advisor for the 52 state and regional associations of Community Health Centers (CHCs), which represent all CHCs across the United States and its territories. Together, these CHCs serve over 30 million medically-underserved Americans. Two-thirds of CHC patients live in households with incomes below 100% of the Federal Poverty Level, with another 18% in households between 101 – 200% FPL. Over 20% of CHC patients are uninsured, and close to half rely on Medicaid as their only source of health insurance coverage.

    Previously, Ms. Meiman spent six years with the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) as the Director of Regulatory Affairs and Senior Policy Advisor, where she focused on health policy issues involving low-income populations, including Medicaid, the Affordable Care Act, and access to affordable medications. Before joining NACHC, she spent over two decades in the Federal government, where she worked on policy issues involving Medicaid, the Affordable Care Act, affordable medication, and the CHC program.

  • President, CAM Capital Co. LLC

    Clay is the founder and owner of CAM Capital Co. He is a fifth generation Texan, a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington and known for his creative financing ability and trademark moustache. He has over 30 years of banking and economic development experience.

    His success includes nearly 300 clients and more than $1 Billion in financing deals. His reputation for success has attracted clients from 8 different states and 54 different counties in Texas. He has received recognition from various economic development groups, SBA, USDA, U.S. Department of Commerce and the Federal Reserve Bank in Dallas. Clay has been a speaker at numerous banking conferences and has been a board member on numerous economic development and non-profit organizations.

    Clay has state tax credit experience in the film industry, and in 2023 closed a federal New Market Tax Credit deal as part of the funding for the construction of a new $25MM rural cardiac-focused hospital in Northeast Texas. The capital stack for this project was unique as it was the first time New Market Tax Credits had ever been combined with a USDA guaranteed loan and PACE loan.
